Father Bill Casey joins us in the 10 AM Hour. Fr. Casey is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and a 1979 graduate of Temple University. After graduating from college, he served as an officer in the U.S. Army. Upon leaving the Army, he entered the Congregation of the Fathers of Mercy. He studied Philosophy at Christendom College and Theology at Holy Apostles Seminary and was ordained to the priesthood in 1991. From 1997-2009, Fr. Casey served as the Superior General of the Congregation. Father attributes his call to the priesthood to the Mercy of God, his love for the study of Sacred Scripture, and his strong devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

The Angelus is a group of devotional prayers. The devotion was traditionally recited in Roman Catholic churches, convents, and monasteries three times daily: 6:00 am, 12 noon, and 6:00 pm
The Memorare is a prayer that reminds us that we have a wonderful advocate and protector in the mother of our Lord, the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Tony Meléndez began playing and singing in the Los Angeles area in 1985. On September 15, 1987, Meléndez sang" Never Be" the same while playing the guitar with his feet in a special performance for Pope John Paul II. Tony has no arms and his ability to play the guitar with his feet visibly moved the Pope. The Pope descended from his chair and embraced Meléndez. The Pope told Meléndez, "My wish to you, is to continue of giving this hope to all, all the people," which inspired him.

As of 2005, his band, Tony Meléndez and the Toe Jam Band, has a busy concert schedule. Meléndez gives motivational talks and has written a book. He campaigns actively for the pro-life cause.
